This morning you cycle down the highest mountain pass in Indochina, Tram Ton Pass at 1,940 metres. In the evening, enjoy dinner before boarding the night train in Lao Cai for your return to Hanoi.

Today your boat moves deeper into Halong Bay heading for beautiful Cat Ba Island. A change of pace awaits as you hop on bikes and make your way through lush forests and stone tunnels to reach Viet Hai Village. Explore traditional houses, walk in the surrounding jungle and stop by a local primary school. The emerald green lagoon of secluded Ho Ba Ham offers the opportunity to jump into the waters or relax on the sandy beach.

After a leisurely breakfast, you head for white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters to swim and relax with the option for a hill climb for one last look at the vista of Halong Bay.
