Remote Indonesian archipelago & luxury island hideaway Amanwana

East of Bali lies the large Indonesian island of Sumbawa. And just 10 miles off its coast is the relatively tiny and remote Moyo Island. With the entire island and its surrounding waters declared a nature reserve in 1986, it is mostly uninhabited except for a couple of small villages and the serenely secluded, Amanwana.

Set in a small cove called Amanwana Bay, 20 luxury tents are framed by dense jungle and the sparkling Flores Sea. A fantasy island of experiences, from rumbling around the island in open-air jeeps to snorkelling the sea wall and Turtle Reef just off the beach, to the resident population of Rusa Deer roaming the grounds, you won’t see any other tourists here. Our favourite experiences? Some of the most incredible snorkelling on the house reef and heading by boat, jeep and on foot deep into the jungle to swim in the most beautiful gin-clear waterfalls we have ever seen! The ultimate island paradise experience.
