San Francisco Chronicle features Borneo adventure

The San Francisco Chronicle delivered an early holiday inspiration for travellers looking for something extraordinary when it featured the incredible Seven Skies Borneo experience in a rich and exciting feature that hit the news stands just before Easter.

From close-up encounters with a herd of 40 Borneo pygmy elephants and more than 15 wild orang-utans, to kayaking the mouthwash-blue waters of the South China Sea from secluded sanctuary Bunga Raya Island Resort, to the mesmerising view from the top of Mount Kinabalu, the San Francisco Chronicle left with memories that will last forever.

Award-winning travel writer Rob McFarland beautifully captured one of the highlights of the Seven Skies Borneo experience:

Even the animals on this island offer mystery. The highlight of the sanctuary trip is a close-up encounter with a group of 40 pygmy elephants. Endemic to Borneo, these bonsai creatures - still larger than us, but much smaller than their African cousins - are completely unfazed by our presence as they feed a few feet away on the riverbank.
