Discover Sri Lanka's wild coast from a luxurious new tented wildlife lodge

On a pristine, secluded beach on the edge of Sri Lanka’s Yala National Park, a luxurious tented wildlife camp will soon open to the public. Yala National Park is in southeastern Sri Lanka, a hot spot for sightings of leopards, sloth bears and elephants.

The luxurious Wild Coast Tented Lodge by Resplendent Ceylon will feature 28 custom designed, air-conditioned 55sqm tented suites, offering the wild adventure of a jungle camp with the comfort of a deluxe hotel room.

Suites are complete with sumptuous outdoor bathrooms, with freestanding bathtubs, and private decks, while four beach-facing tents have their own plunge pools offering ultimate privacy and seclusion to guests.

For a serene, up close experience, a further 16 suites are located around five watering holes designed to attract an array of amphibian and bird life, allowing guests to relax on private outdoor decks and view the wildlife.

Families are also catered for, with the Family Cluster, located away from couples’ tented suites, comprising large tents and a children’s playground area. Each family tent also contains an adjoining twin bedded Urchin Tent, giving both kids and parents their own piece of privacy.

Specialist guides will offer guests an exceptional, immersive safari experience through a magnificent display of exotic plant, bird and animal life.
