New Bhutan luxury travel experience. Farmhouse lunch & hot stone bath

We are thrilled to announce the addition of an incredible new luxury travel experience to our extraordinary collection of natural, cultural and active experiences in Bhutan. The charming Paro Valley paints one of Bhutan’s prettiest pictures. A captivating mix of endless valleys, soaring mountains, apple orchards and willow trees. Here, step into the heart of a traditional Bhutanese white-washed farmhouse, enjoy a Bhutanese lunch prepared in your honour, then soak the afternoon away in a traditional hot stone bath. Spa lovers, rejoice.

In the tiny Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, the hot stone bath has been an important part of Bhutanese family life and a cornerstone of traditional medicine for centuries. Made of wood and constructed in the grounds outside of the home, in anticipation of your arrival large, round river boulders are set into a roaring fire and left to heat for hours. Filled with clean mountain water and aromatic herbs, the red hot boulders are slowly dropped one by one into a cornered-off section of the tub—and so the bath begins! As the water heats to an intense level, let the warmth of the water, the minerals released from the crackling and steaming rocks, and the fragrance of the herbs envelop you.
